If you ever plan on selling the bowfa later, then corrupting is a waste of gp. Bowfa costs nothing once you corrupt it, the armor depends on the amount of hits you take; if you're not taking damage you aren't losing crystals, 1 crtystal = 100 charges, and the average value of a single shard based on the amount of shards you get from an enhanced seed is about 19.6k per shard which is 100 charges ... However, the crystal armor set boasts an impressive 15% damage and 30% accuracy bonus when using the crystal bow. This creates a pretty big balancing issue. The crystal bow is actually one of the best bows in the game, but only when using the full crystal armor set which has a relatively high cost to use.

Currently a crystal shard costs 15k if you use the cheapest method to get them, trading in enhanced crystal teleport seeds. So it'd cost 450gp* for each hit you take while wearing crystal armour, and 150gp per shot with the Fbow. And realistically the price of crystal seeds is going to go up once the BP nerf happens, and the Fbow is released.

Crystal armour doesnt need a defensive value buffs, but it could act as a proselyte armour for ranged. Give it prayer bonuses comparable to Other BIS prayer. On top of that, it could have some small ranged str bonus, making it into a more offensive option compared to other tier 70 ranged armour ( like karils,armadyl, blessed dhide ).

Ive been trying to find solid advice on wether or not the crystal bow (not BOWFA) is worth using in ToA at 250-350 invos over the ACB (ruby drag bolts (e)) while I continue to grind gp for the Bowfa. Biggest issue I’m having is on a 300 raid with insanity, the ACB + Odium ...uh, armor uses like 0 charges for most content. and the corrupt part of the bowfa is pretty negligable, it's very inexpensive to use uncharged if you happen to get really lucky on it. ammo isnt really ever a limiting factor for ranging, you can buy rune arrow heads and make rune arrows very early on. but yeah, bowfa is excellent.Good for places like kraken as well, though obviously the attack bonuses don't matter there. Not so useful for regular irons, but for groupies it would be really good for tanking at gwd as well. Everywhere u BP or use crossbow. Masori + Blowpipe will be better DPS than crystal + bowfa for most slayer mobs.I got spooned a blade pre bowfa and corrupted it right away. Got the 2000 crystal seeds before getting any armor seeds, so corrupted the bowfa. Used bowfa at shamans, gwd, zulrah and for wildy content, whilst doing 2 CGs a day for gold to upkeep misc and shards for potions. I figure i'll get the armor crystals eventually, and until i get a blowpipe, its nice to not have to bring arrows or bolts anywhere.
