Fabric softener not dispensing.
This is a manufactured design problem. The softener dispenser tube is too small and easily clogs. I used an air pressure blow gun to clear the clog. It actually took several times to clear the clog. I don't use the softener anymore. I think that the downy concentrated softener that caused the problem because of the bad engineering design.
To fix this, remove the dispenser and give the drawer a thorough clean. Use an old toothbrush and a soft cloth for this after soaking the dispenser in warm soapy water for about 20 to 30 minutes. this has been happening for a little over 4 months now. it started intermittently just leaving softener in the compartment. but about 2 months ago it just stopped draining all together. i've tried cleaning out the trays to make sure there isn't any residue blocking the reservoir drain. but it doesn't work. bleach and soap drain just fine. but softener remains.
