You can use John's CP 1 outfit which features the closed western coat model, alongside the rest of winter's cowboy items, but that'll remove both your shirt and vest if you don't want clipping. I'd recommend JMRP with NPC Catalog, since JMRP restores John to his beta state and also gives you all his NPC clothing. Very curious.
