Jul 26, 2013 · The Lectron has been around a long time but until recently the owner was into drag racing and so the carb performed very well in that venue. The carbs have been used by a few very high level off road guys in events such as the ISDE as far back as 20 years ago. They are $300 and available and very easy to tune and don't need fiddling. Based on my research, the 07/08 CRF450 carb was upgraded to the 41mm FCR, and the carb is known to be a bit finicky with tuning. The prior 02-06 CRF450 carbs are 40mm. Being bigger it'll be less low end and more top end power. The carb also doesn't use the same accelerator pump spring as every other FCRMX carb on the planet.
