From what i read the small block stroker folks are using the 400 crank to stroke out their 351Ws to 393 and 408s. Rob.

And when you consider using one of the readily available stroker cranks for the 351 (or even the 302) Fords, there's no reason to use the harder-to-package 400M engine.You could offset-grind the crankshaft rod journals, but you'd need expensive custom rods or expensive custom pistons, or both.
