Please be aware that Kubota may not have manufactured the HST and it may. be covered elsewhere. The HST for my tractor is quite well covered. B7200 HST in that manual and yours looks very similar.
I just re-read the operator's manual and you don't have to push in the clutch to shift ranges, but the HST pedal can't be being pushed and the machine must be completely stopped.
