I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with 80000 miles. I have been having sliding door problems and the "sliding door" warning has appeared on my dash. I could live with this but I am now having battery problems with even a new battery. I brought it to Dealer and diagnostics showed problem with Latching Mechanism, door not completely closing and calling for small charge to close the door.1-Drivers side has no power. 2-Drags hard in manual mode and will actually stop to where you have to lift up on the door to get it to slide the rest of the way, either direction. 3- It does not always-"suck in to close"- like it should, and if it does it comes back open after a few seconds.
