They have a low, deep rumble at idle and low rpms but sounds like a top fuel dragster when you really crack on it. I really like mine and have yet to hear an 1800 that sounds better. Running with the choke out to "run it a little rich" is NOT the way to resolve this issue. The "Choke" WILL foul out your plugs eventually. Adjust the A/F Screw about 1/4 to 1/2 turn Out, this will resolve the Lean Issue. Read up on the SCAR Mod and Glen's Permanent A/F Tool.
