Really felt there were more drops in the past, and I am relived the know that I'm not the only one. But after 66 runs and 2 drops/ 3% drop rate, I just gave up.You can only get Gyrfalcons and Omni from legendary/master lost sectors. However, if you haven't unlocked any of the other exotic chest pieces from the world pool, there is a possibility that those chest pieces can also drop. Bringing more consistency to farming for exotics is the most brain dead solution I can think of. People will be much less frustrated if they know that it will take no more than like 7 runs to get an exotic to drop. I was clearing today's Master Lost Sector in about 4 and a half minutes with Platinum.Bungie has not ever claimed that afaik. The list of exotics on the app for that days sector aren’t meant to say that “4 exotics shown in the website / app mean 25% of one of them dropping.”. Those are just the ones weighted to drop if you haven’t gotten them yet. And if you’ve owned / (sometimes completed) the expansion they belong to ...Legends will be easier, Masters have a better "chance" at a drop. You have to weigh time vs reward. If it takes 2-3 times longer to run a Master over a Legend and or you have a higher chance of failure, just run the Legend. You should get a drop around 10-20 runs on average, but it could be as few as 2-3 runs if RNG really likes you.Yesterday I farmed 2 exotic engrams to my postmaster. I popped them today after reset, they decrypted as Leg Armor. I got the Star-Eaters Scales from the first, and a well-rolled set of FR0ST-EE5 from the second. So it's possible that if it drops in the Lost Sector it gives you Helmets, but if you pop it from the postmaster it gives you boots.

Master isn't much better than legend when it comes to drop rate. Unless your clear time for the lost sector is roughly the same on both difficulties, I'd say it's probably better to just run legend. It's around a 25% chance on legend with platinum iirc, and 33% on master.. though I might be wrong. You just got really unlucky.

The only justifiable reason to do a Master Lost Sector is exclusively for the "challenge", or to get the associated triumph. Be cool if they added GM Lost Sectors that had a guaranteed drop. if its loot you want, stick to legendary, 20% exotic drop chance vs 25% for master. (Approximate based on 1000's of runs).

First three runs straight I get exotics-Crest of Alpha Lui, Hallowfire Heart, Severance Enclosure. I've run the sector probably over a dozen times since, no loot at all besides glimmer and the occasional Enhancement Core. Took me 10 runs for one Falling Star, same Lost Sector.
