I placed a 5.3 with truck accessories (stick the furthest out) and ran the stock 5.3 mechanical fan behind the stock 4.3 rad and was able to use the stock trans xmember without extra slotting. I ordered the later tower online, and it was definitely the wrong height. I returned it and got the early shift tower. It's close, but still doesn't fit.
