To unlock the Lich Mythic Path, you must acquire the Wand of Zacharius and return it to Zacharius. The wand is found in the Leper's Smile location, which you will have to explore as part of the story.

Nov 13, 2021 · Just give him the wand; my RP reason for giving him it is that we have a shared enemy that being the demons and a powerful Lich would be a good ally to have against the demontide; call me a bit crazy but I'll take anyone I can get to fight demons and honestly I'd rather have an undead lord that can't be swayed by demons as a friend then say I don't know any self-righteous zealot. Meaning that a merged spell book Lich / Angel will unlock high level spells much faster than somebody who did not merge spell books. For example, if you've got 12 levels in Wizard, and 3 levels in Lich, and you merge your spell books, your caster level will be considered 15, instead of 12.

You strive towards the transformation throughout the whole game and then, in the end, this big moment just makes you lose character power. He comes back every time you camp, just like an Animal Companion. Same for undead party members btw. The lack of ability to rez undead DOES become an issue later though if you go with a Lich companion party. There are places likely to kill a party member where you cannot rest. I have checked gear, feats and mythic talents. Additionally none of my allies have abilities that change my Lich spell damage types. I think it has to be a bug or something very odd.
