Sep 4, 2021 · The Madden NFL 22 starters not playing issue is one that a lot of Franchise mode players remain puzzled by, especially during the playoffs.. Thankfully, unlike in Madden 22's other plethora of launch week bugs that remain without a fix (e.g. the score glitch, the slow motion glitch, etc.), the starter's not playing issue seems to have been pinpointed. You’re using them too much too early in the season, so progressive fatigue causes them to get tired easily. This single handedly ruined the game for me. I love when it’s Week 10 and Jonathan Taylor can’t stay on the field for 1 snap. I’ve been playing Franchise Mode in Madden 24. I typically simulate straight to the playoffs. However, as soon as I play the Full Game in the Wild Card Weekend, my starters are all exhausted and have the red battery next to their name. Then, after one play, my starting WRs immediately come out. Playing franchise mode and just made it to the playoffs. I go to play my first playoff game and notice all the plays have my backup skill positions instead of my starters. I check the medical center and no one is hurt. I check my depth chart and everything looks fine. So I back out and restart the game. Now select Game Options. Scroll down and find Fatigue under Player Sliders. To disable Fatigue, drag down the slider to zero. That’s the easiest way to deal with the starters not playing in the games.
I've adjusted the depth chart and also turned off progressive fatigue, but starters are still not playing. Just got my 14-0 win streak snapped, and now playoffs is incredibly hard with the 2nd and 3rd stringers starting. Many defensive calls have "specialist" positions. My starters on defense (mostly) are not coming on the field. It's so bad I will have my defensive tackles lining up in outside linebacker positions. Since I have to tag this post, I post it as a rant against EA for their continued incompetence as I imagine this "bug" will be in the game for the next five or six years. So I've seen older threads saying that you can adjust the fatigue sliders to resolve the issue of your starters not being available on plays, but I adjusted them back to 0 and turned gradual fatigue off. I tried playing around with the depth chart. I'm still stuck with my backups in the playoffs.
