This is unfortunately "normal" since the update maybe 6 months ago tried to "fix" proximity locking responsiveness. Now it's too sensitive and keeps waking/sleeping in a loop and locking/unlocking, which in addition to potentially being a security risk if parked outside it also wastes ton of energy.

Rivian can drive to you and program the keycards using mobile service I think. They did program a wrist band for me that way. Probably the same thing can be done for key card. Guy was programming my wrist band using a laptop and cloud connection. But why did you not have 2 key cards given to you at the time of delivery?
