Tether is still indeed very much in game for non-dedicated. And as above say; you can't even change it. At least in survival evolved you were able to change the tether length, only ever being teleported when host went into a cave. But now even if you change it, the distance will always be 180 meters.By default it's 1. Try like 200 or 100 or 50 until it works then raise it up until you find the limit. I tried with those options (200 100 50 and 3), but the tether distance still stayed at 180 meters.😢. It just doesn’t work, I’ve put the slider to the max which is 3, and it doesn’t do anything.

Can you increase the distance please? It's unplayable and many of us complain about it. In ARK Evolved, you could increase the distance. In Ascended, the setting is present but does not work.
