It never spun any bearings but we put new rods and mains in and it’s still running today with another 50 thousand miles since then.
Sep 15, 2023 · Had an LB7 that i built an engine for back in 2016, and broke the (LBZ) crank in 2018. Ran perfect with no noise until about 2200rpm and then would stumble and spit and shake. Best ways to check are rotating by balancer bolt while watching for flywheel movement, or checking for up/down/side movement of the front of the crankshaft

Bought a lbz zf6 170k miles. Runs and drives very well untill you start getting on it. When get on it it will throw a code for p0606 and goes into limp mode. Drove it couple other times the. If it were me I wouldn't put the factory pin back in, there are a few diffent outfits that have a kit for keying the crank. LML's seem to pop around the 150-200K mile mark, others are a gamble. Running L5P off LBZ ECM has been done by Banks and a couple others I know of. Issue is just the cam and crank reluctor tooth counts not matching up. Banks moves the crank ring to front for that reason. Cam ring, she just needs to locate TDC one rev and done.
