The serial number is 33xxxB. I'm assuming you subtract the 33 from 100 which gives me the date as 1977. But is there any significance to the letter B at the end of the serial number? The rifle was bought "used" at LL. Bean, but looked brand new and had the box and everything that is supposed to come with the rifle still in the box.
