Ever since I switched from a 2bbl to a 4bbl many years ago, my transmission kickdown on my TH350 in my 1972 has been goofy. Last night, after I had finished up some work I was doing on the car I reattached the throttle cable and the transmission kickdown cable and took the car out for a ride.

It's purpose is not to cool the trans fluid, but to warm it up during winter months.The trans fluid doesn't move through any fins in the radiator. If you want to cool your trans fluid, you'll need to use a seperate cooler with some type of fins.
