A: Hi lowespro516, The SmartKey technology uses only 5 pin cylinders. Even though you can use a KW10 key (6 pin key) in a SmartKey product, the cradle itself will not work to reset a 6 pin cylinder. If the lock has a 6 pin cylinder then it would not be a SmartKey product.Because that would reset the cylinder making it impossible to cut a key for the house. The reset cradle is for rekeying a smartkey lock with no key"quickly" and "easily".
